Davido’s Skelewu makes Walt Disney movie soundtrack

It's been three years since the release of "Skelewu," yet the song has not lost its impact. Davido's over 3-year old dance hit track has found its way to Hollywood, further bringing more spotlight to the Sony Music Nigerian signee.

It has gone beyond being good news for Nigeria and has extended to Africa at large. Of all the songs in the world that could have been the Soundtrack for a Walt Disney Movie, it was Davido's 2013 dance hit, Skelewu that got singled out for the project. What an honor that will be for the singer, his country, and his continent.

The said Walt Disney Movie that has Davido's Skelewu as part of the soundtrack is titled: “Queen of Katwe,” which is slated for a September release date. Renowned movie stars like British-Nigerian actor David Oyelowo and Mexican-Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o, are the personalities that make up the cast list for the movie. This welcoming development got Davido going GAGA on tweeter.

Via his Tweeter handle, he dropped a tweet that ended with these two words: “CRAZY SHIT”.
